Getting to Carinthia (Kärnten)

Getting to Carinthia
Carinthia is easy to access
By CAR:
The region is easy to access from Central Europe with good motorway access to Munich, Salzburg, Trieste and Venice.
From the UK it is about 13 hours drive from the Channel ports.
If you are travelling from the north of England there are excellent ferry crossings from Hull and Newcastle to Holland. These put you close to the German autobahns for a "swift" drive to Austria
Interactive map and driving instructions.
For your convenience we have added an interactive map and driving instructions application between major UK cities and Tirol. Feel free to use it anytime.

Have a pleasant trip.
By TRAIN:
The region has good train links through Villach to Vienna, Salzburg and Trieste and from there to the whole of Europe.
Find a train: ÖBB - The Federal Austrian Railways.
By AIR:

Not quite going by air!
The international airport of Carinthia is in Klagenfurt. Other close airports are Ljubljana (Slovenia), Trieste and Venice (Italy), Salzburg, Graz and Innsbruck (Austria).
The low cost European airlines have regular flights to all these airports. Take a look at their websites for details.
